Track and field
1962: Inland Conference long jump champion (18-9.5). IC runner-up for high jump and pole vault. Fourth as a member of the 880-yard relay
1962: Berea Class A District runner-up for both long jump (20-6.75) and pole vault (11-6) at Baldwin-Wallace College to qualify for state. Third in both high jump (5-7) and as a member of the 880-yard relay, which came up one place shy and didn’t advance through.
1962: Class A state long jump champion (21-3.75, school record). The Cavaliers’ first-ever state champion. Finished in a three-way tie for fifth place in pole vault at 10-6 at the state meet to also earn All-Ohio (top five)
School record-holder for long jump (21-3.75), pole vault (12-1) and high jump (5-8). Four-year letterman
